That is my ad. I was going to put it on here, but haven't gotten around to it. I got this a while back ago at a gun show. I have never seen another one like it.

I too would like to hear opinions!

IMO not correct.....I have only seen acceptance stamps on the tang, this is not an acceptance stamp. It does not look like any test proofs I have seen. This pistol is not listed in Whittingtons or Stills books.

IMO the stamp does not look correct.
Let's see what the others say about it.

Seems like a lot of work for one "bogus" pistol.

Is there documented proof that any of these have been post war stamped?

Is there documented proof that any of these were stamped during the occupation?

Well, if it was accepted by the militaty, it would have a military nitro proof and a Waffenamt eagle and number. If it was accepted as a commercial gun it would have the eagle/n proof. This is neither.

                      100% right Jeff
This type ,of pistols have NEVER been accepted by German military.
                      Jeffs comment is completely right.
This marking is only there to increase the price.

                      Regards,

                      FRANK

First let me say that I am not saying anyone is right or wrong. I hold your opinions in the highest degree. I am always trying to learn something new and feel this is the best site to do so. I don't have anything to loose here. I can keep the pistol, sell the pistol, trade the pistol...it doesn't matter to me. Please don't misconstrue my remarks as me trying to defend the stamp. I am not saying it's real or fake.

So, the consensus is that someone made a stamp and stamped this pistol post war. I can believe that. You guys know a lot more than I do, but it sure seems like an awful lot of work for something that isn't worth much in the first place.

I would have thought that the Germans could have used it during their occupation as (from what I have read) these were used by some French forces during that time. Although I agree that the stamp does not look like a regular waffenamt that we see on K98's, P-38's, etc.

This pistol can't be worth much stamped or not. I didn't pay much for it and I am not asking any more than I paid for it. However, I would like to see some copies of other fake waffenamt stamps that we could base this one off of. I am sure that there would be plenty more out there as I just can't see someone making a stamp and only stamping one pistol (although I have seen crazier things!!). Is there a site we can go to that documents fake waffenamt stamps on firearms?

                        Thanks for your input guys!

                          Guys,
I am going to pull the ad for right now. I don't want anyone to think I am trying to sell something that is not real.
Here are the pictures in case it deletes them up top when I pull the ad.
