Your opinion please MP38/MP40

HI there, today just received my new set of MP40 grips pr let me say original grips. My MP40 is from Norway and served in the post war Norwegian army where she received a new set of grips, and possibly a new barrel.
Firstly I would like your opinion on my new grips (german original), and for reference I have included pics of the original grips as well as the post war Norwegian.
Secondly, the barrel and body serial numbers are not matching. the body of the firearm appears to be a MP40 judging by the handle, trigger gaurd and magazine guide. Whilst the barrel strongly resembles that of a MP38 with its early type barrel cap and sight protector (that were rare on MP40). My question is, is it possible that could be a wartime repair or postwar Norwegian repair? Is it common to see an early barrel arrangement on a MP40. Your opinions appreciated

It would be usefuly to know the code of the grip (kasten) and the production year . On one photo I see the grip that was produced at the beginning of the war, but even until 1944 . Early mp40´s like fxo 41 often have the early barrel version with early muzzle nut and front sight hood .
Is it a late year code , a barrel change / repair seems to be plausible , also during wartime .
the german grip plates are probably original ones .

The MP40 is indeed a mp40 COS fxo 41. The code on the grips are P1488 (3) AND P1489 (3). G
