Is this a fake shell??

This looks like a tea maker. On the bottom it says facimile shell and has a patent. Also there is a strainer. is this some kind of sovernier deal or a trench art piece.

By the way the 50 cal?? shells in the last picture came with it.

"Facsimile" - Looks like a mock-up as the manufacturer was trying to get it patented. Probably a pretty uncommon thing to find.

Now that is a very nice cocktail shaker! Yes I kid you not, a nice piece and very much of its period.
