Real World Value of a 1915 Berlin K98 Mauser

    Hi All,

I am being offered a 1915 Berlin K98 Mauser. My question is what would be the real world value of this rifle?

    Thanks in advance,

    Is it a K98 or a G98?

Barrel length? Straight bolt? DWM? Tangent curve rear sight or quadrant sight?
Markings on left side receiver? If G98, will say: Gew 98

          Hi,

Its about 4 1/2' long. It kind of looks just like a WWII Mauser. Has a straight bolt and the Tangent curve rear sight in front of the bold. The markings are on top of the barrel. I don't remember who he said it was made by.

300 to 400 as a parts gun or non matching parts. If it's all matching up to 900 or abouts.

If you want to sell it and it's a parts gun sell to a re enactor.

I know guys looking for one right now.

                  Hi,

That is what the guy is asking ($400) and I know that every part on those things are numbered so it probably would have some mismatched parts. I will pass on it then.

                  Thanks for the info!

If you want to pick one up don't be too picky they are getting harder to come by. Shop some gun auction sites, gun classifieds and see if you can get a better deal. I paid 250 for mine and it was refurbished by the turks but missed any turk stamings so it was perfect to re enact with. I got mine in 2005 or early 2006. Prices are going up.
