Nice presentation of your Colt only fault I can find is the magazine is not period it should also have a lanyard loop at the bottom.

Actually not. The lanyard loop magazine went out of production (for military models) in 1915, the last Colt being issued with one was serial number 125566. Thus, M1911s issued after that came with the other style magazine. This information is in Charles Clawson's "bible" on M1911s.

Colt No.450260 was shipped from Colt between September 12 and October 3, 1918. If it made it to France before November 11, 1918 it would have been by a matter of days.
