Hi all
I wonder if anyone can shed a light? I have a Radom Vis Mod 35 - This is labelled F.B. RADOM VIS Mod 35 Pat. Nr. 1556x (cant read the last figure). The Serial Number is K4882, all major parts are matched. There is also the (German Army) "P35 (P)" stamp, and the WaA77 acceptance stamp. The grips are backelite black. The gun itself is black, I would assume reblued, as finish is excellent. There is also a proof on top of the 'F.B. RADOM' line - its near-illegible - a squarish box of some 1cm x 0.5cm. In the enclosure, there were 4-5 digits/letters, around 3mm in height. The first only is legible, being a '3'. It is interesting to note that the "P35(P)" stamp is not aligned properly, but is applied a bit slanting.
The gun has the grip safety which is fully functional, the decocker which also works, a slight push retracts the firing pin, a sharp tug releases the hammer as well. The slide stop/hold open similarly works fine. However, the takedown latch, although installed (is the wide, flat type), does not seem to function. It simply refuses to budge up or down. The slide has the corresponding notch, but there is no way I can get the latch to 'latch' (pardon the pun).
I was wondering whether anyone can furnish me any information?
Regards
Mantoine
