    Mystery tool??

    This came from a WWII vets estate...any clue what it is for?? It is well made and hardened. the one mark look like an odd eagle with a "6" underneath it.

      Erma MPE Barrel bushing wrench???

      The interior of the spanner section measuer 13 mm (fits around the barrel??). Outside of the spanner measures 19mm.

        Tool

        Could it be for horseshoes? The rear end looks like the claw for cleaning out hoofs. The other end could be for screwing in the threaded spikes that go into German army horseshoes for snow / ice conditons.

          Ryan, Thanks. Could be just about anything at this point. Given the proofs, and how I got it, I tend to think more for some type of weapon. But, again, i have no clue.

            do not know if this will help but an eagle over a six is a simpson mark i believe

              Yes. it seems to be a tool accepted/made by Simpson...now for what?? Somebody must know, eventually. it is a very well made piece...not a simple stamping...it seems to be forged and hardened.
