worth the hassle?

Hi Guys, Ive been offered this arisaka that looks to have been shortened. It looks also to have an US M1 sling attached to it. Supposedly this was brought back by the sellers father from the philippines. My question, is this collectible at all? If the sling is a garand sling from wwii would it be worth purchasing for $100. She said there is also a couple boxes of ammo to go with it as well. The sellers $#%^ pics wont upload.

i know this is a big hassle for you guys helping me, but if you email me I can send some pics that way. I told them I would pick it up by noon tomorrow, if I decide to do so. I also think i see the mum intact if that makes a difference

If you can get a rifle for $100 you should buy it, even if it is shortened it is worth $100. But that is my opinion.

I know that I'm a "newbie" poster here; however, if you haven't already purchased the rifle I would do so quickly. I have been collecting all types of WWII firearms for a long time and would jump on that chance.

a nice mum. The seller said their dad got this off the battlefield and came home and made this gun into a deer rifle. it sucks he cut it. its almost like GI art on german helmets. Its part of the history of the item. However, I still wish he would have left it alone $%^%&
