    PO8 clip questions???

Hi, I have 2 luger clips. One is metal with a black plastic bottom and there is no markings on it at all. I thought it was one of those FXO's but weren't they all marked? The other one is aluminum that has no marks on the bottom but a serial number is engraved on the side. Any help on these would be appreciated. I am going to try to post some pics but I don't have a cropping program so I don't know if they will be accepted here. Thanks, DEL

        P08 clip questions???

Jason, no need for the clip and magazine lesson. I know the difference. Sometimes you just say things without getting technical. Now if you answered my question, that would have impressed me.

I am not sure with out seeing them, but the second one you described fits in line with being an East German re-work. These were issued after the war to poilce units and had all the original serial numbers and markings ground off and new serial numbers engraved on the sides of the magazines so everything would match again.

            Hi Jason,

I find i hard to believe the East German Police would go to that much trouble, just to have 'matching' mags for their Lugers.

            Steve.

Jason is right, I have seen several force matched Vopo lugers, including a G date. The lugers were reblued and any non matching parts, including the magazine were scrubbed and renumbered. It was very easy to see on the G date because the numbers were the wrong Font for it.
