    Info on Luger

    Hi Guys,

I recently saw on the Internet a Luger Imported by Interarms for a very low price.($400) The gun still MIB. Are these original items or copies done by this company "Interarms"??? This was a 9mm Luger.

    thanks,

That is probobly Russian captured Lugers redone after the war. They are original but not to many collectors want them because they were redone by russians. At that level they are not collector pieces, they are only shooters. I hope this helped. Regards Rajko

They would be great collector items for anyone collecting Soviet captured enemy equipment from WWII or wanting at least one Luger that was absolutely on the Eastern Front...even thou for many of these captured weapons the East Front may have been Berlin by the time they were taken.

They are as worthy of collections as one wants them to be, they are at least original condition as processed by the USSR, except for the import stamp...and actually that is part of their official history as well as it was placed there by Gov. mandate and not a gunsmith's whim.

None of this is to say what the Luger is that you are asking about...I need more information or photos to take a stab at that.

Russian captures tend to be selling these days for between about $700 and $1000 ( much more for very rare makes and variations) so the price that was cited does not say much. These retailed for as little as $250-$300 when they came in about 15 years ago so they have proven to be a good investment already.

That's one of those 70's jobs.
          Seems cheap.

There were lots of Russian refurbs on the market 10-15 years ago.
          Most all were dip-reblued.
          Some were matching.
          Some were VOPO.
A lot of them were in nice shape.

          They were 200-300 bucks.

Long gone now and much higher in price.

              Olá Luis,

This is a Mauser Parabellum: a Luger made by mauser from 1969 until mid-80s. This one is one of the first ones made using Swiss Lugers tools - the only set of machinery then available. Later in the 70's Mauser modified the tools to give the Luger a more German-look.

As far as I know 400.00 is a nice price for these Mauser Lugers. The last ones I've seen cost at least the double. Some people already saw them as collctable pieces by their own as they are the last Lugers made by Mauser.

Thanks for the info . I guess that the price reflects the overall interest of collectors for these "new Lugers"

$400 is a great price for a MIB Interarms Luger. Grab it as you can easily flip it for more.

                    Luger

I disagree. I cannot believe it is being sold for $400. They go for $900 +
                    without the box.

The longer bbl ones, as this one is, bring a premium over the 4".

They have been put on sale for around $1200 but most sell for $1000. Great price at $400.
