I would say that this Magazine is as rare if not more so than an FG42 magazine, it is a magazine for a AVS36 Russian rifle. No I'm afraid I don't have the rifle to go with it... BUT its a start!

Was the AVS a selective fire weapon? I think it was but am not sure.

Yes, it was select fire... I understand that there are at least a couple registered examples here in the States. This magazine should go to an owner of one.
How to find an owner... any ideas?
