SVT38 From France!

Today an import svt40 can go from $550. up to $750., this being a svt38 and non-import makes the price tag abit higher and the old ticker pumping faster.

I'll tell you what I paid with a PM to ya, if these other guys find out they will fall out of their chairs and say, "That fellows off his rocker". ( they are probably right ).

Thanks for the photos. Great find. I would not shoot it as they were replaced because of breaking parts. You'd hate to relaly mees up a great find. It would take a LOT of beers to get over that.

Thanks and I agree I will not be shooting it, I've been lucky and located a sling and Gas tool ( Both for the svt38 NOT svt40 ). I thought I had the correct tool for this rifle but have found out that I infact have a Sniper gas tool that was made and marked by "Valmet" and is Finn army stamped.
Anyway a neat addition!

Magzine!

Well to my delight I found a correct SVT38 magazine in the midwest and now the rifle is totally correct.
I contacted my friend in Russia and asked him to send couple bayonets for it, his response was "It will take a little time but they are here" .
Lord knows there still is a ton of stuff out there!

I will take a picture of a SVT40 cleaning rod and send it to him, he asked how many blades I wanted and I told him several. We shall see... he is really great about finding things.
