Yard Sale find

Hello forum...

I bought this a few hours ago at a yard sale.

I asked for military stuff... and this is what they had.

This was bought from a man who's father fought in WWII.

I never had one of these before... and wasn't sure on value. He wanted $400... and jumped at $300 when I offered it him.

He then pulled out a beaten up envelope and threw it in. In the envelope appears to be a manual for the K43 rifle?

The envelope says: "Pin and instructions for a German rifle."

The "pin" looks like a nail? Not sure if these really are parts for a gun.

Looks like his dad wrote in English a translation in the book... GRRRR.

Did I do okay?

I think the manual and parts are both for the g or K 43 rifle. I think i have those same parts in extra parts somewhere in photos. You did

I did ask if he has a rifle... and he said no.

That WOULD have been a nice find... a G/K-43.

The nail is a spare firing pin along with what may be an extractor which attaches to the bolt. The book and spare parts would be found in the stock of a G or k43 rifle. Nice score.

I have no need for these items... and hope someone can give me a rough idea on the extras.

I doubt I will find a G43 any time soon. Robert

The HSc looks to have a police marking on it (Eagle/L?). The holster is very nice but made for the Sauer Model 38H. The holsters were often interchangeable for the pocket pistols.
