How many Stg44/MP44 where produsec during ww2?

And did the production continue after ww2, i know that the mp44 where in use by the yoguslavien army up until 1983.

Hi Glasmanden, I have a figure of something like 425,000 in my head, but I cannot remember where I read it? I do not think there was any post war production of complete guns. But mags were certainly made in Czechoslovakia.

ammo for the stg44 was manufactured by east germany till 1969.

The weapon was produced by Haenel,Sauer,Steyr,Walther and cost 66 Reichsmark.

A lot of these captured MP-44s were shipped out by the English to the Egyptian police after the war. Egypt was a British "protectorate" at that time.

Ammo for these weapons were also manufactured in Egypt for years. Shotgun News was selling this Egyptian ammo in the early 90s. The shell caseing for these Egyptian bullets split when fired, so they cannot be reloaded.

The ammo for the MP-44 is unique to this gun, so there is a very limited demand for it.
