    Original MP44 ammo

Anybody know what the value of original wartime MP44 8mm kurz ammo is worth for loose matching rounds?

Also, did it come originally packaged with stripper clips?

    Hi Tom,

It did usually come on stripper clips.

The last loose rounds I bought was a couple of years ago and I paid $2 a round. I haven't found any loose rounds since. 15 round box prices are all over the place from $35 to $75. Loose rounds and boxes are rather difficult to find as I believe the machine gun guys shot most of it.

    Regards, Leon

      Oriiginal MP 44 ammo

To Leon and Tom I did just come across several rounds of 1944 MP-44 ammo. None of it is on stripper clips. A lot of it is just loose packed and some of it appears to have been re-boxed with what I believe to be Polish writing on the box labels. It is boxed with 15 rounds per box and all is either AUX, AK, WA, WLA, or DOU headstamps. I'll photo some of it tomorrow and post it then. The condition is "as new". I'll list it on the estand when it is for sale. Tomt

Kurz ammo was packed loose in 20rds, 15rds and 14rds boxes and 20rds and 15rds on stripper clips.

The re-labeled ammo is usually Czech, and I have/seen Greek, East German, and Finnish. I usually buy the loose stuff for around 50-75 cents a round.

                  Hallo Michaelangelo,

do you have a 20 box only without stripper clips or do you have a 20 box with a label without in Ladestreifen?

Please show this label.I will improve my book about the development and production of the 7.9 mm Kurzpatrone.

                  Thanks

                  Norbert

Very nice sleeve, I have been looking for one of those for a long time. I found one a while ago but the condition was bad, the entire sleeve was falling apart from poor storage. I did manage to find 450 rounds last week, all with Czech labeled 15 round boxes & some loose.
