    Value of 8mm ammo

I have a bunch of ammo turkish 8mm in cloth belts 70 rounds per belt. I sold my m48 and only have the ce 44 all matching non import so I do not want to shoot it as it is a collectable. But what is the value of these rounds pre belt 70 rounds? 30$ per belt? Thanks

I usually pay around 10-15 for a 70 round belt, so your are bit high. Can still be bought in crates for quite reasonable. Ammo is good stuff, except its usually corrosive, but what the hell. Clean the rifle and you are good to go. Matt

      ammo

Turk ammo is loaded a little hot, so great for the bolt actions, but I'd stay away from Semis with it. I picked up three bandoliers not too long ago for 21$ at a gunshow. Chris...

I pay around $20 for turk bandos. I dont mind shooting it in my russian captures, there are some guys who will not touch the stuff.

8mm seems to be going for $20-$25 cents a round.

I have said this before and will again. Hand look at EACH and EVERY round of Turk CRAP before you put it into battery. You will regret it if not. I would not pay more than a nickel a round for Turk.

Especially watch for 1947 dated Turk. I once bought 800 rounds of it at an auction for $100. Over 400 rounds had CRACKED NECKS! I refuse to buy Turk ammo now. I stick to Yugo and Romanian.
