    I have a 1941 k-98 BNZ code B rifle

Hello Every one i recived for my birthday a German k-98 rifle I am 28 years old. I do own other firearms ar-15,ak-47 an a couple glocks. But i really wanted a K-98 kinda like a little boy wants a fire engine for christmas. :-)

Well so far this is what i know about my rifle its a bnz small letters 41 the serial number is 35oo "B " as far as i can tell the barrell the reciver match i see waa 623 an waa 77 on the reciver. The bolt is mix matched the floor plate all parts show waa 214 as most of the parts on the bolt. i know this is a imported gun because it shows a stamp at the end of the barrell import vt german mauser k-98. I also recived a bayonet with this rifle 41 crs serial number 3099 "B " The stock has a H on it with Waa 214 there is a knotch missing were the front sight base is it looks just like the ones used on the zf41 sniper scopes. The stock is a real low serial number looks to be 1481 ? it is renumbered to match my gun thou 3500 .

So far the parts i have bought for this rifle are
A new repro sling 44 off ebay :-)
A new front sight hood off ebay :-)
A matching cleaning rod off ebay :-) serial nunmber oo
A pair of matching front and rear screws serial number oo
A pair of matching locking bolts waa 77
I also bought a few boxes of parton ss ammo to go along with the gun.
I also got ride of the barrled band and bayonet lug as they were in bad shape
I did replace it with the correct early waa 623 barrle band and bayonet lug matching !

Parts that im still concidering... a Nice cuped buttplate but what type ? what year what model ?

I would like to fine BNZ coded items if any of all have any for sale please let me know serial numbers can match but not to important as to seeing the WAA CODE waa 77 or waa 623 .

Im proud of my K-98 i only wish i knew what brave german soldier carried this weapon to war ? God bless him

    Thanks, Ken

I know that feeling! Congrats on getting your K98.

If you want to show it off to the community, just let me know and I'll post some pics of it for you.

The parts with the WaA623's are from the Steyr factory, so they would be correct for a BNZ K98k. However, the WaA77 parts are from a prewar Erma K98k (1937-38.) WaA214 parts are from a prewar Sauer or an early/midwar BLM (Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenenfabrik) K98k. The "H" on the stock would stand for Heer (German Army.)
