    Anti-Tank / Teller Mine

I know it's not a firearm, but I don't know where else to ask this. Does anyone have an anti-tank or teller mine in their collection? If so could you please post some pics?

Also any idea on the price of one these days?

    Thanks
    John

Hi John, I think that Gary Wood has one or two in his ordance collection and I am certain he has posted them here before? A search should bring them up if so.

Here is a bottom plate from a teller mine that I picked up last April in the South of France just from field walking the battlefield.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Teller mine

      Hi Ade,

Thanks for the suggestion. I had originally tried a search with the word "mine" but naturally it brought up many many posts. However I did find the thread you were speaking of. Thanks.

I'm actually considering the purchase of a teller mine on the site of "The Collectors Guild". I would appreciate any comments on it, especially regarding condition and price. Here is the link:

      Thanks

Hi John, I forgot to add about prices, and having viewed the link you provided it, reminded me. The price shown is very high in my opinion, compared with UK prices, which is, of course, what I am familiar with . Over here they fetch about half that price, when they do crop up for sale. The last one I looked at was at Beltring show last July from a German dealer priced at £150.

There are wartime, US made, training repilcas that are sometimes offered for sale. I am not too sure of the differences having only read/seen pics of them, but it is something to bear in mind.

        Cheers, Ade.
