Broom Handle 1930's export

The serial number is not from the Wartime Commercial range. Maybe a Pre-War Commercial with the new safety (New Sicherung) retrofitted in the fabric. Or a Red Nine from the 1916 military contract (but I can't see any military proofs).
What is the caliber: 9mm or .30 Mauser?
What is the range for the adjusted sights: 500m or 1000m.

Range is 500. as for all the other input..I have to rely on you guys. To the best of my ability since it is not my field, I have tried to describe it.. There are more pics on the Fire arms table where I have it listed...Thanks for your patience and feel free to comment make offerds etc.. Thanks
