I hope so, I allways thought why is the price of something that is a dime a dozen gone up so high. It isn't because there getting scarce. I see plenty of them at gun shows. This way the average guy that wants a good shooting gun can afford one with out saving up for one. Just my opinion

The crap I have seen from the CMP is not what I would want to own, a pile of mismatched junk that most are not even safe to shoot.

I hope these are at least matching from the Korean war issue with replaced parts, of that era.

I agree, I would not waste a match to burn a pile of the junk that Blue Sky Imports sold. Worthless scheisse.

Garands have become two things, one, the COLLECTOR grade Garand, that no one will pay the money for and not want to shoot it. Two, POS put together rifles from CMP, that most likely dont even have a GI made barrel any longer that are nothing but shoot until they burn guns. Take your pick. I would and have paid 1200 plus for nice collectable Korean war era Garands. They do not come with a cheap price tag, nor are they a rifle that you are going to shoot several thousand rounds through.

Good luck on that. There are single original period parts on Garands that are worth that price and more.

Agree with you fully about CMP rifles.

Geez you guys must have terrible luck. Both of the Garands I recieved from the CMP were beautiful weapons. Both shoot great as well. An original finish 1945 SA with matching barrel The rest is mixmaster parts and a faded NFR stock. My HRA was 95% matching and shoots better than I do.

Heck even my Bluesky import that I bought in 1987 was not that bad.
