Springfield M1A help needed asap

Oh, here are the questions I was asking>

The seller provided three pics that I would like to share in private with a knowledgeable third opinion. Unfortunately, the seller can't provide any info as he got the rifle in trade. and is not a M1A buff. The serial # is a high five digit one. What would be the production date? I am also looking for info on the type of the rifle, all I can say is that it does not have an SS barrel and has a wood stock.

I don't know too much about Springfield made M1As, but I used to own a national match example years ago. Mine was in the 32,000 serial number range which I was told was made in the early 80's (probably around 1982.) It had many USGI parts including a TRW bolt and a military barrel (sorry, I can't remember the maker.)

I hope this helps.

Regarding value as was mentioned earlier, a standard M1A will fetch around $1200, a standard preban around $1500, a national match around $1500 and a national match preban about $1800.

What exactly do you want to know? I've owned about 10 of them and have an M-21 Sniper rifle now. I can probably answer most of your questions.

in Florida they are about $1200 for a regular M1A, preban or postban makes no matter down here. Anything other than than that and it goes up to about $2500 for some of the SOCOM junk.
