Bill,
Congratulations!
That's a nice and scarce pistol! Only about 10,000 made until 1914. Even in Argentina, they were used only until 1914, when they adopted the Colt M1911 pistol.
There is an interesting note about the cartridge: the 7,63mm Mannlicher was intended for the Mannlicher Model 1901 pistol - a slightly different design, somewhat smaller. Upon the release of the Model 1905 pistol this ammo was renamed 7,65mm Mannlicher, but no changes were made. Just marketing...
Douglas.

I simply love turn of the century semi autos. This was the golden age indeed. Yours is a fantastic piece. These guns are like art work. Heres a link to my Mannlicher.. Its a little older.

Thanks!!! I have thought about it, but i dont even know where to get accurate measurements to reconstruct it. And another problem is the licensing mess here in Canada. Its registered as a pistol. If it had a full stock, it would be a prohibited weapon due to barrel length. Thats thanks to our former Liberal government (who are currently trying to overthrow our current gun friendly Conservative government), they made it a complete nightmare for any shooter/collector.
