    Help with German Flaregun

    Got this flare gun. My grandfather brought it back from Europe in 1945. (He was in the Canadian Army, 1939-45) What exactly is it, and what is it worth? The family has NO attachment to it and we will sell it. (My grandfather was not attached to it. We have other stuff we will never sell) Here are some pics:

    Hello, It is a model SLD German Navy flare pistol. In excellent condition it is worth between $1,200 and 1,600 dollars. I would be interested in purchasing it at the right price.

    This is the more common Aluminum model.

    Approximately 6,500 were manufactured with the eeu code. Only about 200 were manufactured with the heym code ( and they are worth more. )

    The Stainless Steel versions were manufactured by Walther, and there are ~ 4200 of those.
