You know, in Germany we can own the deact guns and thats ok . The mp38 is in super condtion and I would buy them all if I would have the money By the way, how is the deactivation law in Finland ? What kind of parts are modified? barrel plugged or bolt cut off ?

Almost every table had atleast one Thompson.Deact ones were 360-650euros(price was higher if barrel had Lyman/Cutts compensator).I think these come from russian wartime stocks, they are available now everywhere as an deacts.

I did not see any working ones with 3000eur tag,but there was few with about 1300-1500eur tags.

I know owner of MP38 pictured above and he have working ones also, one original MP38 and another "MP38/40".MP44 come from same guy and he have 2 others, both working.I have bought my own MG34 and MP40 from him.

Bolt head cut in 45degree angle.Barrel plugged and barrel change disabled. But there is big amounts of guns which have no 45degree cut bolts or neither barrel change disabled.

It is discussed widely here in Finland that Deact-Law changes in next year.Making all new deacts welded unmovable.Sounds horrible but we have very nice amounts of old law deacts here.

very interesting . Our deact guns : barrel plugged and 6 holes, bolt cut off and hole closed . By the new law, its impossible to seperate the parts in comparison to the also legal "altdeko" law, where you dissamble the gun .

What about the sellers at your gun show ? Are those people mostly professional dealers or also private collectors ?
The 3100 euros for the match number mp38 in this nice condition is really fair, although its super much money of course . In Germany we have the trend for the moment that the allies guns fall in the price .. thompsons, stens , ppsh´s are getting more and more cheaper , but the german ones and especially the mp40 stay always constant in value

If it's legal to own live weapons, why deactivate them??

Sellers were both professional gundealers and private collectors.Prices were so equal on every table that they have somekind of "monopol".Russian guns are quite cheap(except Maxim´s).Stens are also quite cheap as Finnish army used them.Thompsons and Garands and other US guns are more expensive here as they are quite "rare".Finnish guns like Lahti-Saloranta MG,Suomi M31 SMG and bolt actioner "Pystykorva" are getting more expensive almost every year.Early production Lahti-pistols in working condition are like 1300-1500euros.

MG34 deacts in the show really had "showprice".I bought mine more than twice cheaper month ago.But i think prices are higher becouse there is quite many "fatwallet" russians in the show.MG34 Klein Werkzeugsats was there too and price was two times what i could buy it.

Getting the collector status is not that easy. You really have to prove your knowledge in old guns to get it and belong to one of the guncollector society.

You are right jiipee!! That price could be more like 1300eur.
But still too much to me.
If it has been workin condition then I would be very interested of it

Yes! And still all did't get licence to collect automatic guns. I have couble friends who have collector licence but only for pistols, rifles and semi-auto guns.

I got my automatic gun collect licence in year 2000. Before that I can only buy rifles and pistols.
