Three years ago I saw one at a gunshow for 500$, I walked two tables down, immediately came back, and it was sold. Everytime I see one I kick myself for that. There was also a G33/40 on the table for 500$, both rifles sold seconds after I looked at them. What was I thinking?

Wonderful piece Bill.... It's very likely that that exact rifle was used to salute Hitler, Mussolini, and who knows what other Nazi chiefs. Hoping you'll bring it to the SOS for all to admire!

Sorry to be late to this party, Bill. Beautiful rifle that I can hardly wait to see at "Show & Tell". Your rifle's serial number is 12k higher than mine. It's interesting to see the minor changes - especially the bolt and stock. My rifle has the Weimar style WaA63 on the underside of the barrel. The stock & handguard are both numbered internally, but have no Heer or WaA stamps. Here are a few pics of mine.
