NAZI G43 I need a little info

Indeed, I consider this rifle a "shooter". Nothing wrong with that mind you. I had one and shot the living daylights out of it. It was alot of fun. In the end the sear wore down enough that I could get two (and once in a great while) three round bursts. When the retaining spring on the back of the bolt broke and struck me in the face I retired the weapon. Man, I put alot of rounds down range with that rifle.

Theres also been some work on the bolt carrier, probably renumbered or an armorers replacement.

I would vote for a renumber job.....The bolt is sterile of any acceptance proof where the number appears.....Likely removed when resurfaced to be renumbered.....Bodes

That one is an I block,,,mine is an H block and this bolt carrier is a complete renumber,,,no grain in the metal and no waffenampt adjacent to the serial number,,,even the 4's match the Vopo 4's not the 4 on the receiver.

Im interested, its strictly a shooter as its a VOPO post war issued police rifle, thats what the X and the starburst shape as well as the electropenned numbers indicate,,,,before that it was made by Walther sometime in 1944. It would be far more valuable and collectible if it were as issued in 44.

Steve can you tell me what is VOPO??
