Help ID'ing German Holster

I would think this would be easy to ID with the four huge rivets on the flap, but I see nothing like it in "Holsters and Shoulder Stocks of the World". The markings are not clear but I can make out "Berlin".

I've seen nothing like it. Post a photo next to a ruler so I can get an Idea of the size of it...It has the odd look of a 1922 browning drop holster's I've seen.But not 100%, I cant tell what the inside straps are for???

The inside straps are there because it is a dropping holster.

checkit, I'm not sure what pistol the holster was made for but it sure looks like it had a P.38 in it for a long time.

I did a little research and that holster is a post war P.38 dropping holster. Turns out, I have one like it that I had forgotten about.

Correct, it's a German Bundeswehr post war holster for the P1 (P38) used until some years.
