Looks like a Harrington & Richardson pocket revolver. This maker was highly active between late 19th century up to the 1980s, producing low cost guns, like this one. Unfortunately, I don't have further information about this particular model.

Thank you for your comments Douglas Jr. I am keen to know more about this particular model as it may have connection with the British SOE and the Resistance. This particular example I saw in a private collection in Norway recently. Our Government purchased many firearms from America during the last war and wonder if there is a data-base for H & R manufactured Revolvers supplied during that time-frame to obtain further information from? Regards, Clive.

                  H&R revolver

yes, you are right. I've read that somewhere else as well. I think if it had the plain grips like you'res it was a version sold to the u.s. government. If it was commercial it would of had the "H&R" script on the grips..I may have learned this from an auctionsight where one was for sale...These revolvers were cheap for years not bringing more than 20.00 u.s. Now like everything else are creeping up in value..An o.s.s. version would bring a premium..These would bare 'no' us prop. markings as they were dumped to partisan's and the u.s. gov. wanted no connection to them...Hope this helps.. Just google 'H&R' revolver and you may find more info on-line.
