Not many places sell deactivated guns. If you are under 18, I would just wait till I was 18 to get a live one or have my parents buy a live one, because you will really regret buying a deactivated one because there isnt really a market for them and if you wanted to sell it you would have a hard time finding a buyer, but if your dead set on getting one, then spend your money how you want. Deactivations on guns are pretty brutal in the US, the reciever is supposed to be cut up or have a ginormous hole bored into it. I wouldnt recommend buying a deactivated gun unless you are permanently disqualified.

I used to know of a site that sold them, but I cant remember.

Ditto on what Josh said... Spend your money wisely on a live weapon. There is a place in one of the Pacific Coast states (Oregon or California I think) that sells deactivated WW2 weapons, but you pay more to get a deact from them than I would pay to get a live one! K98s were like $800, which for that price I could get a nice GI bring-back bolt mis-match Mauser. The only deacts I will ever buy are WW2 machine-guns (until I can afford a legal live one), but you wouldn't catch me dead with a deactivated K98, P38, Garand, etc.

If you really want one, I can hunt down some for you but I promise that you will regret it.
If I were you and my parents wouldnt buy me real guns, I would get a resin copy or an airsoft version rather than a deactivated one. Resin ones are alot cheaper.

Col Klink, I know which place your talking about, they charge almost the price of a tube Mp40 for a demilled one, plus around 500 for a paperweight 98k.
