Im just captivated by MG34s and MG42s and all teh accessories that go along with them and love seeing changes and differences in the stuff and all that.

I bought my first transferable MG42 (the gun on the left of my 3 gun photo) almost a year ago, and I've been hooked with everything around them since.

        Mg34

The release switch was moved to the bottom some time in 1943 and many tripods with the original top mounted release switch were converted . The early ones that stick out the top were easily bent and broke.

Photo attached of a 1944 MG34 lafette with the bottom release switch.
