    Hello gentlemen,
    this K98 muzzle cover is a war-time or post-war piece? German production?
    There aren't marks on it, there is only what seems to be a serial number F14702.

          Pre WWII. Much like the muzzel cover of the Gew 71/84 it is possibly for a WWI era Gew 98.
