Very nice looking early ac44. The "F" and "S" should have red and white paint respectively in them. I don't see any in the "F" but using a strong solvent to clean the pistol can do that to an unsuspecting collector.

Any chance you could post a closer picture of the left side of the frame where the serial number is? I see something that may be interesting but I just can't make it out in your picture.

        Regards, Leon

              Hello Maj. Konig,
I am sure you are aware the mags are post-war.A nice E/359 mag would be in order.Lack of coloring in the "F /S" is always a concern for me.Nice grips.
              Cheers,
              Jason

I don't see any problem with this P38, besides the fact that the mags are post-war - which can be easily fixed.

Thanks for the additional pictures. I can see now that what I thought I could see isn't really there.

                  Thanks again, Leon

It looked like there was something to the right of the serial number and I wasn't sure what it was. Turns out the serial number with suffix is there as it should be and nothing else.

You can usually buy correct wartime mags for $65 - $85 depending on condition.

                        Regards, Leon
