Well I would consider it my patriotic duty to go over there and get them all so they can't use them against us any more! The sacrifices I am willing to make for my country....

Unfortunately from the news seen, they seem to have plenty of modern weapons. But I would not refuse to secure these old things, no to be used against our coalition, I'll keep them safe

I could secure some of them to my home so they can not be used against troops. It's a difficult job but someone has to do it
I guess they do not belong to WW2 reenactor talibans?

It would be interesting to know how the MP44s got there.

The photo of the kid laying on the ground and the kid with the MP40 are priceless.

Probably about the same condition as those Enfields that came out of India a few years back... although the MP40 looks good... maybe re-blued. Anyone have an import license?

Apparently Syria had a large stock of these, some of which showed up in Iraq in mint condition in the last 6 years, usually with one or no mag and no ammo......contribution to the effort, no doubt....

Syria was reported to have tried at one point to sell their whole stock of MP44's to an English Arms Dealer, who thought their asking price ridiculous, and so did not buy them.

we could all probably make a lot of money here...except buying them would be dealing with terrorists...

i was in darra adam kel in 1992, they had mp 44s then but no ammo, seemed to be trying to sell them to rubes who might not realize ammo was not readily available. the afridis i questioned about them didn't really know what they were. i think they were asking about $500 usd for them.
