Help To Identify A Shoulder Holster

I picked up this shoulder holster today.I think its German but would like some opinions on it.I have a 1909 Dreyse that is really close to fitting and the magizine fits great so I figure it fits a 7.65 or 32 cal pistol.I would like to know the age and make if possible. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

The two button closure system is an unusual pattern that I have not seen in the Geco and Akah catalogs I have. As a "shoulder-holster", I would remark that it is missing a second strap appearing on German holsters in those catalogs that secures the holster around the chest.

There are no markings that I can see.The inside has alot of wear and the out side is nice but no markings there either.

I would think there would be another strap too but dont see where it would go or have been?

IMO neither the style, leather type, the metal fittings or the sewing look to be of the pattern found on any WWII or earlier German leather.

I would guess that I have seen around 200 shoulder holsters over the last 35 years that were represented as WWII German military used. Of those (including some WaA marked ones photographed in major references) I have never seen one that I felt was really German military contracted.

I would believe that there were cases of German military officials and certainly plainclothes police carrying pistols in shoulder holsters....but I have never been able to find a photo of it....on the other hand if there were worn under a coat...then one would not expect to see it in a photo!

Thanks for the ideas and opinions guys,I am really at a loss on this one also.Being that it has 2 straps you would think it would stand out from the other types and would be easy to identify.maybe someone will come along and know exactly what it is.

The Reichsbank model shoulder holster was provided to plainclothes members of the Gestapo and Kripo. The physical description of the holster and parts found in period parts listings matches the construction of the Reichsbank style holster precisely.
