The fact that its matching is good but you want to have a close look at the numbers to make sure they are original and no other numbers have been buffed out and force matched.

It is certainly reblued which depreciates the value considerably.

Have you had a chance to look at the grips to see if they are marked and matching. Also, does the suffix on the mag match that on the barrel?

I would say buy it if the price is decent. Not a rare piece with a reblued finish over a fair amount of pitting, beater grips would put it in the three digit range IMO

    cheers

thanks for the replay chris. so my ideas about the reblaued parst are correct.
no i don't have seen the mag or barrel yet. i have to say i like it in a strange way but i'am afraid that when i buy it i wil be swindled it costs about 750 euro and i think a can get better for this amount off money. but still he saying me that the number on the mag are the same as the rest of the gun.

      cheers bas

I will say this, I do like the gun, I like them showing wear but I think 750 euro is a tad steep for the condition its in, nevermind the reblue. Ask if you can get better shots including pictures of the mag and the barrel marks and ask if all the internal parts are matching. Often times people will only look at the stuff marked on the outside of the gun and find out later the firing pin, or whatever, is totally different. What you also have to be careful with reblues is if it is indeed actually matching. What they will do is buff down the original numbers before rebluing it and stamp in the "matching" numbers and then re-finish it so it appears all correct. I will admit, I have been duped in the past on these things so I am rather cautious now. Live and learn from my mistakes and hopefully I can help others. Do you knwo what kind of condition the bore is in?

i have asked him for some better pics off the serial, barrel and mag. i also told him that its reblued. he says not. he bought it in norway two years ago for 850 euro's. still i am thinking of not buying it. its still a lot of money. when i got the pics i will post them for you. also the hole gun is deactiveded.

          best regards bas

Ouch! I didnt realize it was deactivated. In this case, I would certainly pass. That price is way too high for a reblued deactivated beater. 850 euro two years ago is crazy. Try simpsonltd.com prices a little high but you might find what you are looking for there.
            Cheers

thanks chris. but in my country we have a restricted gun law
and i can only buy deacts. i wish it would be like the states here in europe.

I would also pass on this pistol. If the seller can say it has not been reblued with a straight face, the rest of it is also suspect. In addition, the numbers do not match. The extractor should have a serial number, it is in all probability a replacement. Keep looking!

                  No

                  Oh no no no.
If there is pitting there should never be blue in the pits.
                  Pits come from bad rust..
                  Rust comes after bluing.
Never buy a pitted gun, ever.
                  You can always do better.
Try "The Carbine Discount Store" in Nukurcken (spelled wrong) in Germany.
If he's still in business he'll have or can get you a nice one.

that its not being repainted. and if i will buy it i can return it if i don't like it.

                      bas,

You do not need to pay for membership in order to post photos that are hosted on photobucket. Just copy the "IMG code" from your picture in photobucket and paste it into your repy here and the picture will show.

I really think you should hold out for a better one for a better price, my friend. This is pretty clearly reblued. Note that the only pictures of the right side of the gun there is a lot of glare where there is significant pitting with bluing in the pits. All other images are conveniently cropped so you cannot see the pitted area without the sever glare. When rebluing a gun, ALL if the original finish is removed so this would not have ANY original finish. A clearer picture of the mag would be nice. Also, as mentioned, the extractor does not have a SN (which it should) which would indicate it is a replacement making it a non matching, reblued, deactivated, over-priced gun with poor grips (which doesnt add up with the good condition of the finish, if it were original and if the grips are ofiginal to the gun). I would hate to see you kick yourself later, I understand the prospect of waiting is never very much fun but in the long run you will be greatful.

                            Kindest regards,
                            -Chris

I also just noticed that it looks as if the safety bar has been blued over which it should not be.
