is this an ammunitions box?

I just can't make any sense of this box .. is it an ammunitions box and would it be WW2 era? As you can see, the eagle does not actually hold a swastika in its claws Cheers, Torsten.

well radium is a very radioactive element, so i doubt that it for amunition

it also does'nt look like it would take much maltreatment, so that would most

likely rule it out as an ammo box too

Vehicle or aircraft gauge container perhaps such as from spare parts? Something with glow in the dark markings.

Ammo Box

I'll chime in on the Radium part..... Radium was used in the 1920's to paint watch dials, famous case of the "Radium Girls", one of the first big cases of radiation poisoning. Radium would be used in gauges and sights as well I'd guess due to it's luminescent qualities.... Don't see where this would have any applicaiton w/ ordnance. Chris...
