not match number ... but the condition like production yesterday ... instead of

battle dammage on the magazine holder below

And finally, the screw for the barrel has to be changed, its a late war model

Again this is one subject that hurts ...

I had a MP38 deact in my hands at Regimentals up in Islington in '94, the price was steep as I remember it (around 600£ I think) but not even close to the silly-money you have to dish out for one (esp. old spec) now ... do I have to add that I passed on it ... as I passed on the MP44/StG44 combo I was offered for 550£ ... the pain!!!

I know exactly that you mean . I gave out one mp38 match number two year ago but I would do this never again .
I learned to hold the rare items as the collection and I rather eat the whole months noodles than to sell my collection stuff

Of course an old specs like this is quite popular around the collectors ... In europe it should get something between 2000-3500 euros ... always depend on matching number or not , no dammages and so on

WW II militaria has become a very expensive hobby..two years ago you could find helmets for $100..now there is nothing below $500..

very nice mp38, im going to buy one of these next, probably go for the mp40, they are more common, however if anyone is squeemish, look away now lol:

I´m not squeamish ... but what a horrible picture , this is really like a a spike in my collector heart

Did you notice the "non ripped" early magazine holder and the early barrel of this ?

Not sure if that is the same MP40 but I remember seeing one in much the same condition that was found in the wreck of a Stuka or Me 109!
