    Looking for a Luger????

So guys I am looking to buy my first Luger. Can someone tell me where and what type would be a good one? BYF, or Black widow, or s/42 1938????? Thanks Matt

    Luger

I like the S/42 1936 or early 1937 with the strawed finish on certain small parts. Need too have at least 1 matching magazine, at least for my taste...Best Jimmy

It depends on what you want in a luger, if you want a true german luger or an european contract one, caliber or type, standard, navy or artillery. If you want a shooter an non matching luger will do and will be less expensive and more fun to shoot(it won't hurt the wallet in terms of $$$), if you want a collectors grade one with matching numbers original finish, then shooting it will not be advisable since it will in time ruin the value of the gun as well as it's historical value.

If you want an WW2 vintage it all depends of the maker and very small variations on manufacture finishes, the cost can be significant by maker alone! All tree you posted are very good choices and great specimens of each can be found in todays market,of these tree I am partial, well to be true is my favorite, to BYF but that is my personal choice...of course.

        Hi Matt,

I have a nice one on my site for sale which is reasonably priced. I would have to ship it to and FFL holder though
