    Walther PPK

What would be a fair price to offer for this rig? The pistol has an eagle c stamp and the holster is RZM marked. Two magazines and capture papers. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want it to sit too long....

    Thank you,

    Pat

For what country? For the US I would say it would be $1,500 - $2,000 but don't take that without getting more opinions, I haven't been involved in trading & selling guns in quite a while.

      Pat,

there are some details of the rig, I don’t like. Be careful.

1/ a police accepted PPk doesn’t match a Party Leader (PL) holster. No way.
2/ original PL holsters aren’t marked with RZM. Actually, no single holster was marked RZM. Any holster having RZM markings is a fake.
3/ on the photo, the upper end of the closing strap isn’t visible. Maybe this is a coincidence – but maybe not. I don’t believe in coincidences….

4/ original PL holsters have certain unique features which all should be present:
      - closing strap edgeless and sewn-over, compare with these:

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=163186

      - ink stamp “Walther PPk” inside the flap
      - Akah logo and DRGM
      - Oak leaves wreath surrounding the swastika partially covered by the closing strap when closed (compare with the two holsters in the link above)

My advise: ask for more photos.

      Regards

      Martin

        Pat,

thanks for the additional photos of the holster.

I thought so: a total fake.

the closing strap isn't as it should be, the RZM marking is a fake also.

        Regards

        Martin

Thank you Martin, I did not realize that those were even being faked let alone that quality of fakery. This is why I am always amazed at the lenght some will go to to make reproductions to fool people in Third Reich items.

But the pistol would be a nice catch...
Seems to be in nice condition. Police pistoles are highly prized items.
Make an offer for the pistol only, if possible.

                Greetings,

                Douglas.

                  Hi Douglas,

Police markings are being faked also and the couple I have seen are very good.

I know one dealer who won't buy a police marked PPk unless he knows the seller.

                  Regards, Leon
