I am planning once again to attend the Military Gun/Knife Show being held May 30 – May 31, 2009 at the West Springfield Eastern States Exposition. Over the last two years at this show with the help of Craig B. and Peter S., I was able to focus on researching SS marked G/K98 variations. This resulted in my handling, recording data and photographing about 20 high quality SS rifles and snipers for inclusion in my reference on SS weapons and accessories. This year I will be set up in the same location for much the same purpose. As I did last year, I would like to also request other SS marked and/or contract weapons (.22 trainers, pistols, MP35I’s, bayonets) as well as SS marked arms related accessories (such as optics scopes/binoculars/cases, cartridges, cartridge pouches, bayonet frogs, shooting record books, literature, photos, etc.). Last year this produced several great items in all categories. Everyone kind enough to participate in this research will receive full credit in my reference. I especially look forward to this event as an opportunity to connect with collector friends from this area and hopefully make some new ones.<O
