Mp40 early version

hi guys,
got here a deactivated mp40 early version . The mp has the early magazine holder, the mp38 bolt and also the early spring / Tube .
Manufactured ayf 41 , the WaA 280 marking are everywhere

Complete match number instead of the bolt . Unfortunately , the front sight hood is missing

It's very pitted, once heavily corroded and then cleaned. It almost looks ground-dug.

yes it was cleaned and some Brunierung was added . Anyway, the corrosion is only superficial Its no "earth find" , but come from a "wet attic/ garret "

for me as a relic hunter this Mp40 can not be a ground dug item.

I have found many items from the Wehrmacht in the last years, and absoloutely NEVER had one in this condition.

For me it is a beauty.

This is re-painted, what's this black colour?

its not painted . authentique "brunierung " ( I don´t know the english word ) and weapon oil was used
