    Price on matched P38

A while back I visited a lady who had a "Luger" from WWII worth 2k US. I asked to see it and it turned out to be a P38 AC 43. It has a holster and Matching magazine with an additional magazine. The numbers on the pistol all match.

What would be a fair offer price for a gun in 70% condition or slightly less.

ac43 P.38s did not have matching numbered mags. Numbering of the mags was stopped in early 1942.

It's nearly impossible to give you a fair price without a lot more info and/or good pictures.

For instance, you say it has a holster. The holster could be worth $50 or it could be worth $500 depending on condition, whether it is a soft shell or hard shell and who made it.

A 70% P.38 is shooter grade and worth $500 or so.

Leon is correct. The magazine on an AC43 should not be matching the gun. If it is, then it has been "enhanced" to match. In which case, it's possible that the entire pistol may have been so as well.

THe finish is 70% but how is the bore? how are the grips? (originals?), any import markings?
As for the holster; what type of holster (hardshell, or break-away?) What date is the holster? what is the maker/waffenampt?

Photos would help out a lot!
