MG-34 Drum - Field Grey?

I picked up two MG-34 drums with the field grey paint. Any opinions as to whether these are original WWII German military issue (including the paint)?

Code is correct, I like the color of the paint, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't been repainted at some point, "spot-on" paint is readily available. Let's see what others have to say.... Chris..
