    Cz27 help needed please!

Hello, I have tried to do some research on a dated CZ27 pistol
in 7.65mm, it is German marked with a waffenampt as it is one made during
    occupation.

I have never seen one that is actually dated before, ever......
I've heard a rumor or two of them being legit but quite hard to find.
I am very stumped on this and would like any help possible!

Should I purchase this exact one....or.....should I try to get the regular undated type?

Here is what I have for details:

    Serial number is: 354493

    Barrel length is: 98mm

    # of Waffenampts: 1 (located on the left side of the slide)

Date of 1944 is located on the left side of the receiver frame.

Magazine is marked: P. Model 27

Other markings: On the left side of the slide is the following:

    BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G IN PRAG

Here is the link, I am hoping that some help / advice / pointers / info. can be given as I would find it very helpful.

Thanks for your interest and time.

    Hello, there are some problems
"Here is what I have for details:
Serial number is: 354493 - should be 1944 production
    # of Waffenampts: 1 (located on the left side of the slide) probably WaA706
Date of 1944 is located on the left side of the receiver frame.
-this is not obvious, it was not dated originally
Magazine is marked: P. Model 27 ok
Other markings: On the left side of the slide is the following:
    BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G IN PRAG
    - it should be on top of slide not on left side , there should be other stamp
From the link i believe the pistol stamps are faked.best regards,Andy

      Thanks for your help.

To tell you the truth, I didn't think it looked legit as most of the later
manufactured ones I have seen are of the rough grey finish, not the blued.

I also couldn't really see how there would be such a nice blue for the finish and a date if late war, as the production was at the highest for everything.

I had been looking at this piece on and off, I finally decided to post something about it...good thing I did.

There is another CZ27 available at another place, it's a late war example, it has the rough grey finish and is marked with the later "fnh" on the left side of the slide.
Just curious as to if this is something I should possibly look at now that I have reason to believe the dated one isn't good?
From what I have heard, the later ones with the rough grey finish are harder to come by?

I can post the information pertaining to the late grey one if interested?

      Thanks again for your help.
      Cheers,
      Duffy

I might as well post this other link for the late war, rough grey finish
        example....here goes:

        http://collectorssource.com/item.asp?recid=3351

        * These CZ's are usually popping up from time to time here, but I am mixed
up as to where the stampings should be, etc...as I know that things changed
in the course of their manufacturing procedures.

"fnh" is a late war stamping, am I not correct?

Hello, the other link piece looks like nice late war phosphated piece Vz.27, probably late 1944/ early 1945, some of the collectors have detailed info, to the faked one, there should be looked to slide top end for remains of serial number, but my opinion is that it was a postwar slide used for this fake. The serial number is not correct. When a war nonserialed piece was destroyed it would be a shame.best regards,Andy

            AndyB,

Thanks once again....I appreciate the help.

Out of 5, what would you rate the 2nd one that has the rough
            grey phosphate finish?

Would you recommend I grab this particular one? Or should I wait to
find better if there are always one or two CZ's kicking around here?

I'd like to hear opinions on this if possible.

About the first one I had inquired about, it puzzles me why someone
would want to mess around with something like this, but then again....
            it doesn't surprise me.
I couldn't figure out why it wasn't selling and not being all too familiar with
dated ones....I didn't know what to think of it!

Hello the nr.2 have some problems the sight is probably replaced with blued one, the trigger looks like earlier production, same the security lever is mashined and on this piece should be probably stamped, but it could be some switch piece, the price is a really high for the piece, i would like to wait for other piece. best regards,Andy

                AndyB,

                Roger that.

Interesting that you have mentioned this about the sight, I thought it was odd looking myself but never second guessed it to be honest.
It looks like I will stay clear of CZ's from those two places.....or until a 100% legit one pop's up!
Thanks very much for the help once again.
                Cheers,

The frame of SN 354493 seems to be original, the slide is a Fake. Note the remain of the rings (CZ) (7,65) on the left side of slide.
