km k98

Hi guys just a quick pick your brains question, i have been offered a k98 rifle now the seller says its km because its stamped with an N would this be correct or should it also have an M ? sorry no pics as yet but will try and get some, cheers Dave

It should have an eagle/M on the stock for Kriegsmarine, and either an N or S for Nord/Sud on the bolt takedown disc if I recall correctly

The early KM rifles will be marked on the stock with only an "M", later ones will have the "eagle/M". The takedown disk should be property marked with either an "N/number" or "O/number".

Be vary cautious about this rifle! Original KM rifles are very very very scarce! Fake ones are out there. I would highly recommend to post photos and get opinions on it BEFORE purchasing.
