Do all original mg34 bipods have the adjusting screw in the middle? I have seen some without that have a waffenamts.

Hi Thier,
Early bipods were actually the mg13 bipod pattern, next had the hight adjustment, and the last ones had no adjustment screw. Cant remember the actuall timeline on what was fitted when but both of the last types would be correct for a wartime gun. Bipods were a bit vulnerable and damage was almost inevitable in the long run. Hence a late pattern replacement on a mid war gun would be fine. You would have to be desperate to fit the mg 13 style as they were pretty poor as they do not square to the gun by spring pressure they just spin round and round.
