Thank you for the VERY interesting points on this HP as I mentioned I have really been out of the P38 loop for a bit and while I have a fair amount of them I'm not a hardcore P38 collector. Matt I'm pleased to read your comments I know that you have always had a very strong interest in P38's and you were one of the reasons I posted this HP.
I'm happy to report with those reviewing this HP that its all matching and in the 175XX serial range. When I first picked up the gun at the show I thought it too good to be true but after looking at it from top to bottom with a jewelers loop (and then my friend doing the same) I knew that I had run into a high grade HP that would be tough to upgrade. While it was a nice find know that I ended up paying a FAIR penny for the HP, and considered walking more than once. Its the WaAmpt 359 that closed the deal for me.
