K98 sling keeper

I have a chance to buy an original K98 sling without the keeper, for about 1/2 the price of a complete sling. How hard is it to find an original sling keeper for a k98? What would be a good price for a sling keeper if I can find just the keeper for sale? I am trying to see if it worth it to marry two seperate peices of a sling together to save some money. Anyone have any thoughts? Or an extra sling keeper for sale? Thanks for your input

I've been watching for a keeper for several years. The pre-war brass and post-war versions can be found (I've paid $5-30), but war-time keepers in good condition are scarce. Might be easier to buy a complete sling in bad condition with a good keeper than to find a loose one. If you see a good one, don't hesitate.
