Well, here is part of what I all got at the SOS/Louisville gun show! Some stuff I got didn't even make it out of the building though! I'll post some more photos later. Many of the items show will be up for sale on the estand, so check it out!

    Enjoy,
    Matt

Reverse of holster. This one is a Norweigen capture, but it's a 1940 dated holster! Maker marked "JKB 1940". The WaA number is very tough to read though.

Reverse of this hardshell shows us the "P38" markings, but no maker code, or date! Notice the left belt loop. It appears as though it was damaged, or pulled off at one time, and re-sewn to the holster in a different location. Looks like a wartime repair though, as the belt loop is definately original to the holster.

But it is military proofed! a very nice "eagle/WaA 392". These undated holsters are early type hardshells. Most were made between 1939 and 1940. Some of them will not even have the "P38" marking on them. This one does, so I believe it to be a 1940 manufacture, after the P38 was accepted into military service. A very nice find.

What's next??.......yup, another P38 hardshell! This one is called a "hardshell" because of it's style, but the holster body is acutally very soft, which you can tell in the photo that it's not stiff and riged.

Reverse of this holster is brown. Now, those who don't already know this, yes, there are brown P38 holsters out there (both hardshells, and Break-away types). On the hardshell holsters, there were only two makers that I know of who made brown hardshells. Those two makers were both Polish manufacturers, and were "lyo" as well as "ndk". Many of these holsters were dyed black , but not all. This one was dyed black on the front but not the back. Sometimes you'll see them dyed all black. So keep this in mind when looking at hardshells!

This one is marked "ndk" in a circle, proof marked "eagel/WaA77", and dated "44" in a circle. Yes, there are 1944 dated hardshells like this out there. The "ndk" ones are usually dated "44" in a circle like this one, or are undated.

This is one of those recent import holsters, which I call "Russian Captures", or RC holsters. What makes this one special is the maker marking, "bml/44", and also that this one is waffenampt! You don't often see the pebble grain RC holsters like this waffenampt.
