thanks for the kind replies gentlemen, yes the stamped adjustable is correct for the rifle. in this particular serial range the adjustable was used, it was either a milled or stamped variant. it is still factory staked in place i've had a few Winchester m1 carbines, a few that i've retored and a couple of junkers this is the first correct original one that i've ever owned been looking for one for a while i happened to luck into this one and wasn't even looking for one at the time just right place at the right time. best regards
